why are democratic parents good? why aren't permissive parents good? which one of these are ur parents :)
I don't believe parents are just one,category which are Authoritian, democratic, permissive, uninvolved and helicopter. My brothers feel I am helicopter to them but I feel I am democratic and authoritarian. Most parents if they heard how most kids in each category grew up all parents would probably say they are democratic. My mom was one of the few who wouldn't feel judged when she said she was uninvolved and the same with my dad. Though I feel people make this a big deal over nothing. Your parentsare and will remain the same so who cares what category theyare in.
Well all parents have their ups and downs, it doesn't matter what they are in the stuff you listed. Parents aren't meant to be you're friends all the time, they have to yell so you learn what's right from wrong and not every parent gives their child the right advice because they don't know what it's exactly like. No one's perfect, not even parents.
this is called democratic parents who give advice to there kids and support them in what they do and give them a limit of doing things rather than shouting and forcing them to do what you like and not letting them live there lives :( I hate autocratic parents :( Well in a way u are right so u are not wrong and don't mistake me:)
Democratic parents are the one who let the children have a say in the house whereas authortians have the final say. Permissive parents try to have the final say but give in. And uninvolved is self explanatory.
I don't think either of these is good. One way or another you'll have problems.. parents should try to create a fair balance (:
