Does it mean that there just isn't anyone in the way so they don't need the siren...?
It's a code 2 response it's urgent but not life threatening. Code 1 is a regular response no lights no siren most likely somebody needs transported from one place to another and they are completely stable. Code 2 lights no siren. Somebody needs help but its not life threatening I.e. a tummy ache. Code 3 lights and sirens. Emergency response. Someone is or could be dying.
Yes I think it generally means that it is still an emergency, maybe not as serious, and there are few people in the way. My Nan was in an ambulance once and she got the lights but not the siren.
In my experiance with my grandmother they only turned on the siren when its a real severe emergency or if you request for them to turn them on, which does cost extra
well like at 2 in the morning theres not point for them having it on since there is very little traffic. theres no point in waking people up
I don't know. But one just went whizzing by! :D
Or a non-emergency.
Thanks!
