Am I racist?

Marked for my safety. I have noticed that for the past 2-3 years I have seriously hated the way certain Black people act and dress. At school people ask me my race and I told them I’m ashamed of one of them but act more of my other race,I’m half white and black. I noticed also that I have never dated a Black girl and that when I was 15,a friend kept pointing out what he called hot girls but I didn’t answer him cause I thought of something wrong. I would go on but it gets worse.

Am I racist or something else wrong?

Answer #1

I dont know, but my boyfriend is black. and my parents hated him for that reason. they said black and white people shouldnt mix. but whats the problem, its just skin color! I love black people! and HATE racists.

Answer #2

Your not… all people think that yes black people do dress a talk different and act of course that means white people do the same thing… we all see the differences between our races and we all see things we like and dislike thats why there are so many different types of people :) dont worry

Answer #3

racism is when you hate people for their color and not from what they wear. just because one guy likes a certain type of girl you dont have to, for e.g I like japanese girls and find em smokin :D my friends dont, doesnt mean they are racist… I dont like people that dress up like rappers, its just unoriginal and shows they are just wannabe’s doesnt mean im racist.

racist is if you despise people based on their color, as in “I hate that guy for being (insert skin color here)”

and you said “certain” black people, just as I always say I hate how certain white people act and dress, nothing wrong with it…

From the sounds of it, yes and no.

You don’t have to like black women and you don’t have to like what they wear or how they act, but if you’re thinking bad things about them, then yes that’s racist.

But then again, racist absolutely dislike other cultures (I would say colours, but I’m not intending to pun), so if you hate them, then yes. If not, then you’re not. Simple as that.
