am I having a break down or is it my diabetes

for some odd reason I started to burst out in tears and I don’t know why? I was talking to my boyfriend when it happen I know it wasn’t cause of him because he is a good guy. I don’t know if it was cause I was having a break down or my diabetes this happens to me once in a while but ever since I was diagnose with diabetes I seem to get it more often for some reason my mood swings change out of no where I could be the happiest person then be mad for no reason and I want to change that my boyfriend thinks cause I am mad and I act stupid but it’s not that it’s the diabetes and I don’t know how to tell him because I don’t want him to think that I am going to be using diabetes as and excuse to cry or anything. I don’t know I wanted to know if anyone can help me and advice me of how I should approach my boyfriend with it. thanks peace love and happiness

I’ve had diabetes since I was 2…and im 17 now. I can tell you that if your blood sugar is very high or very low, your mood can change easily (high blood sugar - hunger, moodiness, anger, thirst, having to pee a lot, headache. low blood sugar - feeling weak, blurred vision, shakyness, like the feeling of being drunk)…but not to the point of tears. make sure you keep your blood sugar on track, and if you’ve been really moodly lately, it could be something else. but make sure your boyfriend knows that sometimes diabetes may affect how you feel, and act.

its definitely not your diabetes. the signs and symptoms do not play with your emotional directly. only indirectly.

breakdown? maybe not that either, but you need to do some meditation and get your mind of all things that are worrying you. If its about your diabetes. you need to get over it. grow stronger and mature. learn to accept what you have, and move forward. adapt to your new lifestyle and enjoy your life. do not let diabetes control your life – you control it.
