Is there any alternative for preserving food rather than using preservatives which is bad for health?

Answer #1

Freezing? You can also can foods without added preservatives.

Answer #2

As Colleen said, you can freeze or can food, you can also dehydrate food.

You can also buy food in the grocery store that doesn’t have preservatives.

Answer #3

Even freezed food is bad isn’t it?

Answer #4

Why would it be? You aren’t adding anything to it.

Answer #5

You can dehydrate it , like that pre-made food you can buy for camping, etc. You could also salt it like in the old days, but that would be bad for health. That’s about all I can think of.

Answer #6

My husband and I grow a garden every year and preserve the vegetables mainly through the lost technique of canning. There are some foods that are easier to freeze. This year, we are even going to can some of the meat from yhe half of beef we got recently. If you do it right, it may cost a bit in the first year of doing so- but it pays for itself in the long run. (as long as you aren’t afraid of a little work)
