Do a lot of girls wear fake nails, acrylic, or the plastic ones at stores?

I never used to unless I was doing a photo shoot, and they were usually just stick ons for the time being. MOST girls wear acrylic because they last a long time and they let you do everything you normally do, including work and school. I did get acrylics once I started working, you can get them done differently ever 2 weeks, change the color, style, anything.

Some girls where them because they like the look and feeling of having long nails, plus they like the designs. I have never worn fake nails, french nails etc. Sometimes girls wear them because they aren’t happy with their natural nail or nail color and wear them instead.

I’m sure a lot do, but they’re not very practical. I’ve had mine done twice (acrylic) - once for a work holiday party, and once for my wedding. I found that they really weakened my real nails, especially the first time. The second time, for my wedding, I removed them about a week after I got them.

I personally do acrylics. It is my treat to myself. I just drop my kids off to their dad and go to get my nails done. It is fairly cheap, but I have used the store bought ones and if you are not a person with a steady hand then they look terrible. Also I tend to find the store bought ones to be too long and too sharp for my taste and since the design is on it you really can’t cut them or anything.
