Is this an allergic reaction to shrimp?

I ate shrimp the other night and later I started breaking out in hives (on my legs, arms, back, torso). I’ve never had an allergic reaction to shrimp before (it’s one of my favorite foods). I took a benadryl and it went away. Then at night it came back, and this morning I was again covered in hives. A couple hours later (without any medication) it went away again. Now it is coming back. Is this an allergic reaction to the shrimp or something else? Why does it keep disappearing and coming back?

Its best to ask a doc, but it does snd like an allergy

An allergic reaction wouldn’t last that long or come back after it goes away because you don’t have it in you anymore. It sounds like some kind of rash or something.
