My parents have a small garden and today my dad cut up some fresh basil. The smell was overpowering and immediately made me cough and my throat get very itchy. Could I be allergic to it? I've had dried basil and nothing has happened before.
It is a possibility but I'm not a doctor, the only way you would honestly know is if you go to a doctor and have them test you for it.
