Not at all. I don’t think they really promote people to advisor too mch anymore. Alls that is required is you giving good helpful advice, acting as you should, and following the rules to become an advisor.

Theres no age limit for Advisors and the number of points you have really couldnt be used since people cash them in and start over constantly now. They arent promoting Advisors anymore at the moment though, but to become one you must use proper spelling and grammar, be a productive member of the site, give good helpful and informative advice, have a picture on your profile, not have any behavioral problems and atleast be on the site for a few months prior to becoming one.

There is no age or anything, but you do have to be naturally just really awesome. Haha kidding, they used to promote people to advisors when the site was relatively newish and needed volunteers to help control the questions etc.
