Unless you are a calf than there really aren't advantages. In spite of the industry funded messages about dairy doing your body good it is probably the most unhealthy thing we eat. The countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis are in fact the same countries with the highest consumption of dairy. You see our bodies only function in a narrow pH range; if it varies too much we die. Eating protein causes our bodies to become more acid which we neutralize with calcium which we draw from our bones. High protein foods like milk are the cause of bone loss not the cure.
Dairy is the source of the most biologically active form of calcium, which you need for pretty much every function of your body. If you do not have enough calcium ions in your blood, it will be taken out of your bones. This is especially a problem if you are over 26 years old, as after this age you stop building up bone density. Milk is also good as a source of protein, and some studies I have read have suggested the main milk protein may be helpful in preventing post-partum depression
Plus adding to that the countless allergies that diary products can cause....rather get your calcium from leafy green vegetables and maybe a calcium supplement.
it has calcium to give you strong bones & has other vitamins besides calcium, tooooo - like, proteinn
stronger bones and less likely to have bone loss
more calcium= no ostoeporosous
more calcium= no osteoporosis
