advantage and disadvantage of television

it can help because some kid shows actually teach them to like be nice and like help other people.depending on what they are into.it can be a disatvantage because they might saty on it to long and not want to get off.(I know people)

I think it would both advantage & an disadvantage. Advantage because ; there’s a lot of educational channels. Or not even educational but channels that don’t harm you child in anyway. Harm as in teaching them bad things or giving them bad habits. Disadvantage because ; there are channels that cause harms & would teach kids bad things. & I believe that kids act the way they becuase of what their watching on tv. They would see or hear something & they think its right & they do it. Well depending on the age :)

Advantages of Television: source of information, knowledge, entertainment, news (you can expand on this) Disadvantages: to restate what truelove said, children could become more violent through observational learning (now there are studies that positively correlate kids watching violent tv to acting more violent, but it is hard to know if the tv caused the violence, if kids who are more violent are drawn to watching more violent tv, or if there’s a third variable that mediates or moderates the relationship)
