I just got a job babysitting a 3 year old boy.
What are some fun activities I could do with him?
I am currently babysitting a 3 year old boy and a 1 year old. The three year old loves play dough, going to the park (we do that a lot), watching the trash truck, jumping on the trampoline with me, coloring, etc. We made pipe cleaner necklaces with pasta and bead which was fun. Also, I would suggest making cookies some time. There's a lot of super easy cake mix cookies that are fun for the kids to make. All it needs is a cake mix a couple eggs and some oil, all of which he can help me put in the bowl and stir up. It's super fun.
3 year olds are soo much fun...they love to color, "draw", play doh, moon sand, crafts, going to the park, taking "nature" walks, playing outside, baking, sand boxes, sit down and play dinosaurs with him, or cars...whatever you do remember that they love when "big" people act like little kids...the goofier you are the better it will be for him.
teach them new games, like freeze tag and if its one chile just run around the house, put some music on and dance with them, I know the kids I babaysit love to do that. they also love when you leave they're favorite show on teevee. they also love playing dress up..and sometimes I even let them run through the sprinkler.
I have a 3 year old son, and hide and seek is always a blast. 3 year olds love Castles with the figurines, so if you have one, if you play with him, that's a lot of fun to see his imagination as you play and ask questions. They love interacting in that manner.
I have a 2 and a half year old we just tried finger painting and she did really good with it, didn't even make a big mess with it. She also likes playdoh and coloring, playing hide and seek. And she always has me make her a pretend map and go treasure hunting
I guess I should of looked at where you live first...lol.
But playing in the snow is always fun...my boys loved doing that when they were 3, of course they still do. If I can think of anything else I'll let you know :)
Those are great ideas!
Though the outdoors ones will be hard. It's currently FREEZING here. And we're expecting snow.
Thanks!
Any other suggestions are welcome.
I have ideas on what to do, but I'd like more.
you could color or play with some of his toys, wach movies or if you got some play-dooh
kids love that stuff.
I taught my son how to air gutair, he is two and had a blast 3 year old would probably have fun with it as well.
Thanks!
