Is it possible to have overactive tear ducts?

Lately, my eyes have been watering so much! When I laugh, sneeze, or sometimes when i’m just hanging out and watching tv, tears just start rolling. It’s kida annoying and messes up my makeup. Is this something worth mentioning to the doctor?

Answer #1

You can’t have overactive tear ducts. If your eyes are tearing more than usual it could be infections, allergies or a blockage in the ducts. Consult your doctor. Also, if a person has dry eye syndrome their eyes tear more than usual because the eyes struggle to maintain water. Either way go check it out.

Yes. Often as side effects to various prescriptions. Are you taking any medications currently? Either way you might want to ask a doctor about it.
