Acrylic nails gone bad

Ok…I like always get acrylic nails for like every other occasion…n dey ususally take off my real nail but dis time…I took one off and a small green substance has appeared and this is the first time ever!!! And im not sure if its cancer or a fungus…sumone please help

Just do not get them. I have had fungus infections, peeling off and now a stupid so-called nail artist who has filed away all of my natural nails and I will have to wait up to 6 months to get my natural nails back. I would say that out of all nail artists 99% are shonks.

You should really check that the salon that you go to is CLEAN. The first question you should ask is “How often do you clean your tools?” there answer should be “after every customer” if not you walk out. But sometimes with acrylic nails there is a chance you can just get fungus because the fake nail lifts up and bacteria can get trapped under.

It’s fungus. You can actually, if it’s not too deep on the nail, just use a nail file to sand it off. I would give your nails some time to breathe and get strong again, before you put fake ones back on.
