What is an accurate German translation of 'I can't remember where I found it. Sorry'?

I don’t trust online translators so would really appreciate it if somebody could let me know =].

Answer #1

entshuldigung, ich erinnere mich nicht wo ich es gefunden habe,

Answer #2

Es tut mir leid, aber ich kann mich nicht (mehr) erinnern wo ich es gefunden habe.

“Es tut mir leid” is equal to Sorry. You can say it with or without “mehr”, it’s a slight shift in the meaning. The “nicht mehr” is equal to “not anymore”. It’s final. You forgot it and you’re sure about that.
If you say it without “mehr” it means that you can’t remember at the moment but it may cross your mind again later.

Answer #3

Yes, you can say it that way, too. but it’s “entschuldigung”, you missed a c.

Answer #4

Thank you!

Answer #5

You’re welcome. :) I’m native speaker of German, so you can ask me anytime if you need help with my language.
