Can a 25 Volume developer be used with any hair dye?
I want to lighten my hair, but the color I have will not do the trick so I am trying to see if I use a stronger developer if it will work. Can anyone help me?
Yes it can. Just be careful with a 25 volume. Dont leave it in too long. I normally use a 10. When you see your hair is just about to reach the color you desire, start to rinse. By the time it is completely out of your head you will have acheived the color.

I dye my hair often, but I usually go to the beauty supply and pick up a packet of bleach and 40 vol developer. However, I am sick of looking at my roots and the only dye I have in the house is blonde, then I have 25 vol developer, so I figured if I use my developer with the dye itself I may get lighter than if I just went with the boxed stuff…if that makes any sense lol.
