13 and NOT losing baby teeth.

I’m 13 years old and I’ve only lost either 7 or less baby teeth. Is this normal?

Answer #1

Well. Just curious because, when my mom was younger the same thing happened to her about my age. Then she went to the dentist and they had to pull out all of her baby teeth, then put a wire up in her gums and pull down her adult teeth. So is there any way possible that this could be genitic?

Answer #2

yes, its notmal im 18 and I’ve still got a baby tooth and theres older people who still have some of theres as well

Answer #3

Of course it is normal! I know someone who is 15 and still hasn’t lost all their baby teeth. It is different for everyone.

Answer #4

I don’t believe that this is normal. You should see a denist about that.

Answer #6

I had a baby tooth that just wouldn’t fall out…I was 19 when my new dentist discovered that my permanent tooth was growing sideways and wasn’t coming downwards to push the baby one out. I had to get surgery to pull the permanent one down the right way…Not fun at all!

I would tell that dentist, that way they can take x-rays to find out what’s taking them longer to fall out. It could just be that you’re developing slowly, but it’s better being safe than sorry.

Answer #7

I’m going on 15 this year and I’ve only lost 10 teeth or less and some of them were pulled, I think its normal, everyones teeth fall and grow at different times.

Answer #8

The only time you need to worry is if your permanant teeth start growing in and your baby teeth haven’t fell out yet. As long as that’s not happening - your fine. Give it time.

Answer #9

I just recently lost my last baby tooth I think you should go to the tdenist becasue mine took forever to fall out and I learned that my baby teeth didnt fall out well because my “grown up teeth” didnt push them out well so I had to get them pulled I think you should probobly go to the denist to see if anything is wrong
