Fried rice can be simply prepared with a few seasonings, to elaborate dishes with a dozen and a half ingredients. The variety of fried rice is also limitless, as we can use almost every kind of meat and vegetables. Fried rice also can be served as a vegetarian menu, as meat is not mandatory in the recipe, even though egg is probably needed for better taste.
To me fried rice needs some dry cooking sherry to taste right though I suppose rice wine would be more authentic.
