If you are addicted to something that is not necessarily a bad thing, should you still get help?

Answer #1

If it isn’t disrupting your life, then no.

Answer #2

Honestly I think a dependancy on anything is bad.

Answer #3

Anything that is taking over a pert of your life by addiction is bad. It could even be something like adopting children. Seemingly an amazing selfless, caring gesture. But look at Ange and Brad- Obviously there’s something unhealthy going on there. Everybody’s lives are different, so everybody will have different views on what’s a ‘bad’ habit and what’s not. I think hobbies are great and everybody should have something they enjoy. But when it gets into an obsession or an addiction, that’s when you need to worry. No matter what it is.

Answer #4

If your addiction is getting in the way of your daily life or the way you function, then yes, I’d say you should get help for it. If it’s not harming you in any way, though, then I wouldn’t really worry about it unless you want help for it.

Answer #5

I think any addiction is bad. We shouldn’t have anything beyond limits and even we have very huge amount of money, it is bad and we will always be scared of that money. So, maybe minting money also becomes an addiction sort off, which is really bad and anyone will need some sincere advice or support in controlling any addictions in life

Answer #6

By definition, addiction includes disruption to your life or causing harm in some way. You know the saying ‘too much of a good thing can be bad’, well that is true of everything in life. I guess what comes to mind of a ‘good’ addiction is exercise. Which can be seriously damaging if done too much.
