Your candidate's flaws

Alright, no matter whether you support Obama, McCain or candidates from other parties, it’s always good to see things from another perspective and realise that your candidate isnt perfect, even if he is the better guy for America. PLEASE DO THIS RESPECTFULLY, A’IGHT

I will start. Im an Obama supporter, but I think he is still unsure about some economic matters. IMO he hasnt given many specifics with regards to solving the financial crisis, although he’s stil proven himself to be solid and composed IMO

Answer #1

I’m voting for Bob Barr. His biggest limitation is that he isn’t really a libertarian. But it doesn’t matter, because he won’t win.

Answer #2

I also support obama, however, I know what youre saying.

both candidates have flaws with their plans, thats how it always is.

but when Obama wins, everything will sort itself out.

Answer #3

damn.

most of you dont see the point of this thread at all.

I agree with you, go obama, obama should win. but he’s not perfect. this thread is meant to point out the flaws of the candidate you support, not proclaim your support for him over and over again

Answer #4

did you see the picture of mcain doing that stupid wrong door thing behind obama? ha hes a twat . obama should win

Answer #5

go obama :]

Answer #6

I support Obama.

However, I was an avid Hillary supporter (because she is amazing!) but also because I do not trust who is pulling the strings behind Obama. It is very peculiar that he has been propelled this far with very little experience in comparsion to Hillary. But hey, every politician is a talking head and I would rather it be Obama than that war monger aka McCain.

Answer #7

I will be voting for Obama in this election. However…

One of my main concerns about Obama is the size and scope of his agenda. He wants to bring about change on many fronts, including education, health care, crime, energy, foreign affairs, trade and the economy…and the list has just begun. The last president to completely remake American society was FDR, and he was only able to do that because of the New Deal Coalition. It remains to be seen whether Obama will have a similar alliance of supporters throughout his term. It’s also arguable that Obama’s agenda covers even more than FDR’s did.

I remain skeptical of Obama’s energy plans. He said he’d like to see the US free of dependence on foreign oil in 10 years, and wants to spend $150 billion to make that happen. But the US is projected to significantly increase energy consumption in the next 10 years. So in addition to facing the problem of meeting the increased demand, the US will also be expected to eliminate many of its current sources of energy and replace them with sources not yet in place. Don’t get me wrong, I think the “green economy” shows enormous potential and could cause the next economic boom. But if we are to be free of foreign oil in 10 years, it will have to cause the next economic boom, and it will have to do so very rapidly…there is no other option. Some industries have workers that may lose their jobs as a result of “going green” or even reducing oil consumption.

Answer #8

I also think Obama should win lol.

But this thread is not meant to show your support for either candidate. Obama and McCain are not perfect, so Im sure you can come out with something that you may not be entirely satisfied about the candidate you are supporting

Answer #9

Adding Palin made a big difference for me - before initially thought both were almost identical, left - McCain and farleft Obama - at that time, figuring I might not even vote - with that addition and carefully going over who would be best for the country I chose McCain of the two - I have conservative values and McCain sometimes strays from the reservation, but not completely off it, LOL !! - I often hear contrary but neither candidate is to be worshiped as the ‘cure all’.

Answer #10

Maybe I should add that to me, Obama’s energy policy is still preferable to McCain’s. But the question was about your candidate’s flaws, not the opposition.

Answer #11

I have many issues with Obama. I think his health plan doesn’t go nearly as far as it should. We need a basic single payer system like medicare. That is the only way to solve the problem. I also had major problems with his vote for the FISA bill. I felt betrayed over it, and thought he was too willing to play politics with a major facet of our protected civil liberties. I am also not fond of his stance on funding faith-based organizations.

No one candidate could possibly please every voter on every single issue.

Answer #12

Obama should deffinatly win, we need a change. <3
