Young relationships

I was 15 beginning of july, and I’ve started talkin to this boy a lot for the past 2 weeks that I’ve known for a while and weve met up a few times. thing is, hes 19 in november. do you think its too much of an age gap seein as I’ve been 15 for 2 months so far! We both like each other and want it to go futher. I no weve only been meeting up and talking properly the last 2 weeks but it is going good. well apart from tonight! hes been ignorin my texts :S but im sure theres an explanation! anyway, would just like to know.. dya think its ok a 15 and 19 year old togethere or not? I know my mom and older sisters wont approve but if its what I want then theyre going to have to understand. thanks x

Its not ok. Hes too old for you right now. If you were 18, and he was 23, then it wouldnt be a problem as you would be two consenting adults. Hes an adult, and you are a minor. What would he possibly have in common with a freshman when hes out of school? Older guys who are interested in younger girls are usually after one thing. As shadowboxer said, “he sees you as an easy target because you are young”, and naive. Young teen girls are usually flattered by attention they get from an older boy, but I wouldnt be so quick to get in a relationship with him. You’ve only been talking a lot to him for 2 weeks, and met up a few times…that isnt nearly enough time to really know someone. You need to take things VERY slow, and be cautious if things start moving too fast.

Well hes not going to come out and tell you he wants sex!!! Its something he will ease into after awhile.

A 15 yr old with a year left at school… Dont you graduate at 18? No, I wouldnt want my daughter with someone just because he drives! Hes has MORE experience than a 15 yr old would have, and that isnt a good thing. Ask yourself why cant he get someone more his OWN age…one whos out of high school!

By the way…where did you two meet?

Answer #3

I know he doesnt want me for sex because weve talked :L .. he said he likes me for me and not for sex and if anythink was to happen then he wouldnt care if he had to wait. Just imagine if you had a 15 year old daughter with a year left at school, and she was going out with a 19 year old boy who could drive.. now give me your opinions, be as honest as you can be because I dont know wether I should keep meeting him or stop before I get too attached. and the reason for him not texting me back was ok I guess as I spoke to him tonight :) xx

Just to add I dont know if he truley does really like me or not. he told me he does and sed he didnt think I did and I told him I did and he said okay sorry I was just getting paranoid. and then the other night he went out with his mates and I sed “did you kiss anyone last night” and he sed noo lol , stop being paranoid (he said it in a nice way) and I answered im not, I jsut wondered :) its up to you what you do as you are single. and another time he asked me if I had any lads after me and I sed no and asked him and he said yeah but the only girl he wants is me. Do you think hes just takin me for a ride or does actualy like me? xx

Answer #5

Much more likely than not he is taking advantage of you. He sees you as an easy target because you are younger and probably haven’t had too many bad experiences with guys yet, therefor you aren’t as able to tell when they’re sincere and when they sincerely want to get in your pants. They know that they can make you fall in love quick and tell you that they want to go to the next level and don’t you think it’s a good idea and all that good stuff. Take your time. Be a girl, you don’t need to have older guys messing you up.
