  I have heard that the letter 'X' is meant to look like the shape of someones lips as they are about to kiss or even the four lips of a kiss. 'X' also sounds like kiss. The letter 'O' is meant to look like the shape of someone's arms as they are about to hug someone. 'O' could sound like it comes from the word 'hold'.

  I agree, 'X' shud stand 4 hug cause your arms are wrapped around the other person and the 'O' should be kiss, like the shape of a mouth.
