Is it wrong to tell your guy friend who is like your brother that you love him (like a brother) or would that just be weird?

Nothing weird about it. He just knows how much you appreciate him if you tell him and how much he means to you. As long as he knows you mean it in a brotherly manner, then go ahead and tell him.

I do it. I knew him since we were in 7th grade, we dated for a week back then, stayed reallygood friends. We call eachother bro and sis and I always tell him I love him when I feel like it. Its usually “Love ya bro” and he says “love ya too sis” so it depends on your relationship with him

Well im in the same situation as you except im a guy and she is a girl. I respect her and love her like a sister. Sure before i wanted to be with her but it kinda just “morphed” into a brother, sister kinda thing you know. But any way, when we get off the phone after talking for awhile we always say i love you but she says bro and i say sis. If that makes sence. But any way i dont think its wierd for you to do that. Unless, ofcourse, if that guy has fealings for you or even if you have fealings for that guy. Its something that you really have to think about. Does this person meen anything more to you kinda stuff you know. Well ill leave you with that. Hope I helped in any way. :)

it could make things really akward especially since you 2 will always see each other… and brother sister relationships dont really need to be formally started do they? if it really is that way, he probably feels the same so dont ruin anything with foolish words that dont need to be spoken

Playing the friend card, got to love it, and this all depends on his feelings and what he is looking for. I never really had female friends, and found the friend card at that time in my life was not what I wanted. Now I have women that are friends, but I have my wife, and I am not looking for more relationships beyond friendship.

depends on how long you’ve known each other and how close you are… if you think he knows you well enough to know that there are no romantic feelings behind it…Then go ahead. The atmosphere is also important when you tell him. But do it subtly..like laugh and “say you are so cool..I love you” If theres complete silence and you look him in the eye and say I love you… he’s bound to get the wrong idea

I tell my guy friends that I have known for a long time and am really close to that I love them. But you have to be careful. It all depends really on how much you guys talk and how close you are. =) Just tell him and see how he reacts or better yet ask him if its ok that you think of him as a brother and that you want to be able to tell him you love him like one.

But I just couldnt give him a try because e’s with my friend. & he understands. So i just think that you should try ONE date & if you cant get over the “brother” heep then you should just tell how you feel before leading him on

Depends.. Sometimes doing that can make friendships awkward if they don’t feel the same way. It can also ruin friendships in some cases.. However I told my girl friend who was pretty much like a sis to me that I loved her, and now we’ve been together for 2 years :D
