Of course, this is what everyone should do! If you ask me that is, yep, I agree with Irene, defininetly not the average 14 year old, in a good way. You see, it’s more important to grow an emotional connection before a physical one or else the physical one just loses all of it’s value! Yes, this is exactly the right thing to do! Don’t ever change this mindset! :)

no its not wrong out all u need to noe dose things before u date den evrythin will go wrong u shud always be friends first if he dosnt lik it den he go screw himself dont worry bout it evryone is friends 1st noone drops in right away

no nothing is wrong with dat! it is better to get to know him as a friend because den u gain trust ( very important) and u get to know his likes, dislikes etc without dat “awkwardness” den slowly u can take it to di next level and after di relationship kicks off… when u have arguments or disagreements it will be easier to talk to him about it since u were friends before dat.
