Work issues, should I stay or go?
I’ve been a dental assistant for 2 years and I decided to quit on Friday due to two things
- I started at 8/hour. A girl with no experience recently was hired starting at 14/hour.
- One of the doctors is a straight jerk to me for absolutely no reason. So today they called me apologizing and offered me 14/hour. I love working there (minus one of the doctors) but I’m afraid it will be awkward if I stayed. Should I stay or should I go???
Up to you but I wouldn’t let 1 person mess it up for me - you may have lost a battle but you won the war…I wish you every success !!
I would stay… but I would ask for a raise soon since you’ve been there two years already. And if they deny it, quit!
I would take it! stay there as long as you can. you know the good job you do. and plus, if you ever want to leave for another job, you say you worked at 14/hour and they might compete with that and give you a raise! forget the new girl. you’ve been there longer. and that doctor, who cares. he’s one person out of the whole office.
