Why wont my sims 3 open?

i got sims 3 for christmas and it down loaded perfectly fine i meet all the requrments to have it on my dell desktop and now when i go to click on the icon it wont open! HElp!!!

does anything pop up for a split second and go away?

i dont know if this will work but.. Go to My Computer > then look for The Sims 3 folder and open it > Open the folder that says Game > Then the one that says bin > Then open the application that says TS3.

if all of a sudden it just stopped responding/not opening then id back up your saved games, just drag n drop to your desk top…. docu.ments\electronic arts\the sims 3\saves

now uninstall the game and delete all visible folders that are left, reinstall, copy your saves back and hopefully youll be underway again.

what operating system are you using?? if vista or 7 have you tried right clicking the .exe and ‘run as administrator?
