It can have to do with the fact they contain amino acid which is a sort of an anti depressant. It also contains phytosterols which apparently mimic the human sex hormone. I've also read eating chocolate helps produce endorphins as well as the "cuddle hormone" oxytocin. Personally, I think it has to do with a culture as well. In America and other Western places I've seen chocolate as a regular treat and something many crave. However, where my parents come from, chocolate is something they simply don't crave nor want often.
I just crave anything high in glucose because my energy levels are low
its something in the chocolate that a girls body needs.
I crave anything sweet when I start mine.
