it means that in the wizarding family, only one sibling can keep it’s powers. that’s why in one episode, alex said to max when he was floating in the air, that he now apart of the competition with her and justin. for example, their dad was a former wizard. he lost his powers probably to his sibling. and lets just say that justin wins the competition, he will keep his powers, and alex and max will lose theirs. that’s why in a new episode that’s coming out, alex and justin go to a wizard school and learn more about magic to be more in depth with the competition. if you watch the new episode coming up next weekend, you’ll find out, and see what it exactly means.

He means that out of him,max and alex they all have to compete to see who gets to keep their powers when they’re older because only one wizard in the family of the 3 kids can keep their powers to adulthood
