My boyfriend broke up with me because I made the terrible mistake of cheating on him. I am truly remorseful and have expressed this to him. He tells me he still loves me & misses being with me, however he is scared I will hurt him again. He feels I must not have truly loved or appreciated him since I cheated. He is a good man and I want him back. He wants to see something from me to show how much I truly love him and want to be with him. He has went to my mom and even my friends explaining to them how much he loves me but thinks I cannot possibly love him equally since I cheated. I wrote him a heartfelt letter (that I have not yet given to him) & I am seeking advice on what I can do to prove to him that I truly love him with all my heart & will never hurt him again. Any suggestions?
well, the way he's acting is pretty normal for that kind of situation. give him the letter, or just talk to him. take things slow, and try to convince him that your intent is to not do it again and to be faithful to him. it will take a bit of time for him to get over it, so the best option i can think of is to take things slow until he realizes that you feel the same way he does. that's all i can think of. best of luck, hope this helps =)
I'm pretty sure he'll never really trust you again. Do you think you 'deserve' for him to take you back? I think you should just learn from your mistake, and let this one go...
