Will a tongue piercing affect my speech?

Yes for the first 2 days when its swellen it will affect it…but most the naw it dont … I had my mine pierced since I was 14 and I been talking normal…it should be okay buddie go for it!

Yes it will be difficult to speak for the first few days, and yes if you take it out and leave it out for a while it will start to heal and close over. Because the mouth and tongue is lined with mucous, it heals faster than other parts of the body so I wouldn’t leave it out for too long.

There are lots of pros and cons for tongue piercings, which is it’s taking me so long to get one. lol

It can affect your speech in the first few days… It didn’t affect me, probably because I got a big mouth haha. But there are risks that it can affect it after the healing process. It is common. But some don’t. I don’t have impaired speech, there is no difference but I am deaf so I do mispronounce words but that is nothing to do with my piercing. My friend has got it and it is so hard to understand her with it now, she was clear before she had it done.

I’m Scared To get my tongue done. Just the fatc that Evryone had there different says in it.. Im doin mu research everyone says so many differnt things its hard for me to choose to get one or not to. I think they look hot personally I just think there awsome.. One of my questions is Can you still wear lip gloss when you get your tongue pierced because I love lip gloss and I dend to lick my lips a lot if I got my tongue pierced and licled my lipgloss, shud I rinse with salt water, if im not near any listerine??

Well, I think its no problem. Just make sure it is healed before you do that. (:
