yupps!! I’ve tried it before and it works like a charm =) from rich dark black hair, my hair has gone brown!! my friend who had dirty blonde hair did the same thing and now she has sandy blonde hair… she soaks her hair in lime juice tho… and sits in her back yard, then she says she dives into her pool to wash the lime juice off!! - and the chlorine in the pool must do something, cause it makes her hair lighter too!! =P

Answer #2

Yea it would. I havent tried it too but I would like to try it some day…

Answer #3

ronggg! sorry evry1 but that is really bad 4 your hair. it dries it out there4 making it more brittle and making even likly to snap off. it you want your hair lighter get it proffesionally done dont waist time and hair folicles messing round with hair potinons that don’t really work. you may also have an allergic reaction 2 it and there is a chance your hair could come out in clumps and in the worst case scenario you could get cancer. im begging you dont do it, it may work the 1st few times but ir makes your hair much much weaker. Answer #7

I’m a recent graduate of cosmetology school and I’ve come to learn that the acids in lemon juice will penetrate your hair and the heat from the sun will open up the cuticle in your hair causing it to gradually lighten. So, yes, lemon juice will lighten your hair.

Answer #8

Lemon juice does make your hair lighter. but it could turn it to a weird orange-ish color if you leave it in for to long.

What I do, is I mix lemon-juice and water in a spray bottle, spray it all over my hair and then wait in the sun for like 10 minutes. then I wash it out.

I would recommend you use a bit more conditioner then usually, because the lemon juice CAN end up making your hair a bit dry. but please, don’t do the lemon juice thing every week. it will ruin your hair! I recommend only once. good luck!

Answer #9

what if it gives me cancer

Answer #10

haha well to all the princesses of the world, I use lemon juice and vinegar at the same time!!! I know its bad for your hair… but… I have a moisturising conditioner and I leave it in for 1 hour - 2 hours a week then wash it out. my hair was never very strong to start with but funnily enough its getting stronger even though I straighten it and use lemon juice. I’ve heard you can comb through oil aswell- dont know whether I wont to try that one though. is it true that heat and lemon react to make your hair blonder because I dont have time to sunbake anymore???
