Sounds like your boyfriend was trying to get a reaction from you by telling you that another girl found him hot in his clothes. It might be his way of saying that not everyone shares your tastes in clothing and he might be trying to make you a bit jealous so you’ll stop pestering him about what he wears. I wouldn’t say this is the best way to talk to you about it since he is playing with your feelings and probably doesn’t realize that he has hurt them. Bottom line is, he probably likes the way he dresses and you might be making him insecure or annoyed because you keep wanting to change him. He has to understand that the reason you do this is because you love him and want to make him feel good about himself. You have to understand that this can hurt his feelings and make him feel like you don’t accpet and love him the way he is. As for leaving you just because someone said his shirt was nice, I don’t think that could happen especially since you guys seem to really love eachother since you are still together after 6 months. The danger is that if you don’t talk about it with him and he continues feeling that you don’t love him for who he is then he just might be attracted to getting that kind of attention from someone else.
