I’ld say the realist ones were probably that of the VERY FIRST religion, Pantheism(an earth based religion, the root of all occult practices & religions actually, including wicca. The Goddess was the first “God”. Women’s monthly cycle were in tune with the moon phases, they bled & recovered, & they made life(gave birth). Females were viewed as Goddesses because of this. The God came about from the hunt, when men dressed in animal hides, thus the animal body parts. That’s where your Gods come from dear. Oh here’s => a cave painting of God & if you ask Wiccans & Witches, 90% believe in a type of God/dess(usually more than one)

In the beginning was God and His first humans (Adam & Eve/their offspring) walked with God. Once mankind fell into sin their inner thoughts and motives became dark. The devil began to dominate in his influence over mankind. Noah was saved as he was the only one (plus his family) obedient to God in the entire world at that time. All the spirits (if you are referring to human spirits of those that have died) will have plenty of room as God will make a new heaven and a new earth at the conclusion of this earth-age. Lastly, a spirit doesn’t take up as much space as you may think.

jeremy93, If I, and millions of other Christians are wrong, then at least we would have lived a decent/moral/unselfish/giving/love-filled life. By following God’s Word, we would have lived a life that is both practical (loving our God & others by helping them) AND we would have hope of a beautiful afterlife in the presence of our God after we die. We would have hope and purpose as we live out what God said in His Word. By following the Bible we would have avoided unnecessary sexually transmitted diseases; learned to love all people and feel secure that God has forgiven our sins thru His Son Jesus.

Wiccans don’t need incentives to do the right thing. We don’t stay in the afterlife so nothing is permanent, like the cycles of nature.

First off, I was JEWISH before I became Wicca and therefore I know what I am talking about.

Wiccans call on elemental forces of nature to cast spells/etc. They rely on old recipes of strange substances to achieve power/peace/control over situations and people. A wiccan cannot cast a spell on a born again Christian because their spell will return to them 7 fold! Wiccans have witnessed the powers of demons yet they often don’t believe demons exist. If elemental forces of nature have names and personalities and the show strange supernatural powers, then these fit the description of demons! People can say they don’t believe in anything (hell/heaven/demons/God/Jesus) but their belief isn’t required at all. You can believe a tree is really a frog but that don’t make it so! God does exist and He revealed Himself in His word - the Bible. We all have a free will to choose what we will believe. For God to force us to believe without free will is to render His love as false. But if you take an honest look at the evidence of the who God is/fulfilled prophecies/changed lives/etc., you will bow and say “My Lord and My God” finally having found the true and living God as He is revealed in His word!

jermy93, please google “fulfilled biblical prophecies” (Just copy and paste the words in quotes above into google.com) Then you will see just one proof that the Bible is not just human in its origin. It is God’s Spirit giving men what to write and it was written by over 40 authors on three different continents (Asia, Africa and Europe) over a 1,500 year time period. It is 66 books that fit together perfectly showing God/man’s life purpose/man sin/God’s way back to right relationship with Himself/etc.

Just explore the Bible for yourself and pray asking God to truly reveal Himself. You will be amazed at how the truth will make you free from bondage to sin/guilt/emptiness. In the Bible are the keys to understanding what’s going on in this world now.

Please pray and research for yourself and give time to honest commentaries about the Bible. Don’t only listen to those who are against God. Check out what believer say about the One we serve! Don’t seek just those books/websites/works that try to put down the Bible because this will only give you a wrong view of scripture. Why do you believe in the bible?

I believe in the Bible because it’s not just one book but 66 books written by 40 different authors on three different continents (Africa, Asia & Europe) over a time period of 1,500 years. The first book of the Bible was written over 3,500 years ago. Each author had very different personalities and backgrounds. Even though these books were written separately the have one main message which is the dealings of God with mankind through His Son Jesus Christ. It would be hard to get five different people to agree exactly on one thing, but the Bible does so and that over a longtime. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek. The Bible answered my most burning questions of life such as the origin of humans and the universe/the existence & nature of God/the purpose of humankind/the origin & extent of evil.

Many peoples lives have been changed as mine has too from searching the Bible. The main theme of the Bible is Jesus with the Old Testament being the preparation of the promised Messiah - Jesus. The Gospels (Matthew/Mark/Luke/John) display the manifestation of the predicted Messiah - Jesus. The book of Acts shows Jesus message being spread throughout the world and Revelation being the consummation of all things as we know it to be. Revelation records Christ coming back to rule and reign.

The Bible also has numerous prophecies that were foretold and came true to the letter. You say they were written after the fact, but the historical evidence in archeology tell otherwise. Add the fact of numerous changed lives (people getting delivered from drug/alcohol/porn addiction/delivery from the bondage of the occult in all its forms. Add to that the total forgiveness of our sins from God who made and knows that we are unable to forgive/remove sin ourselves. The history & geography of the Bible are accurate too. With all the evidence listed above it proves the Bible to be truly divine.

You needn’t explain the bible to me, as I have stated, I know the bible, I WAS A CHRISTIAN, & my knowledge is on par with biblical scholars. Hell, I converse with religious scholars on the subject all the time. Here’s a question, why do you act like people that are not of your religion know nothing of the bible? Have you read the bible from cover to cover? Or do you get your verses from online websites? The bible does not go hand & hand. It contradicts itself varies times. Take Genesis I & II for instance. God created Adam & Eve out of sand at first after he creates the animals. In the Genesis II he creates Adam, the animals, & then Eve out of his rib bone. You ca ntell they’re 2 completely different creations stories. That’s only one contradiction out of(at the least) 143, the most obvious one too(which is why I’m pointing it out). Here’s another one

& the bible does not explain everything. Where did God come from? Where did he attain his supernatural abilities? If there is one God, why can’ there be many? Those are only a few many people ask that are not answered by the bible. There’s also questions raised by the bible, example: Where did Kane’s wife come from? There were only 3 sons of Adam & Eve, where did the woman came from if they were the first humans, the only 2 until they had offspring, which were all male. The bible does not explain, you could only assume the story behind it. Only one of many. I take it you really don’t ponder things much at all.

Why can’t you accept that others don’t believe in the same you do rather than try & convert them?

Here’s why…say you were in a burning house and you were sleeping as the fire burned it’s way throughout your home, how would it be if I saw the fire and didn’t call the fire department and/or go in to pull you out from your impending death. Would that be right? I gather not. Since the evidences for the Bible being as strong/compelling as they to reject it would be to turn a blind eye away from the truth.

Why are you not able to question the bible?

I have questioned the Bible. In fact, I still do from time to time. When I have a question about it, I will first read the verses in their context which means reading the entire chapter were the verses are to get a better understanding. Then I will check the verses out in a Bible dictionary and Haley’s Bible Handbook. I will also see what Bible scholars say about the verses online and I will even check sources that may disagree with the Bible. In all honesty, the biblical interpretation has prevailed every time. One word of clarification: the Bible is spiritually discerned so you really have to ask God to illuminate His Word by giving you His Holy Spirit so you can understand it.

As I stated, you mustn’t question the bible that much, nor do too much research on it. I did ask God for guidance, he must of guided me right out of that creed, lol. Nothing good has came out of that religion. I wont lie, people gain confidence & become more self assured, but you cannot deny the fact that a lot of people have been put through a lot of suffering because of religion, especially that one. You believe it to be the only truth, thee is no way to prove that. What if it’s wrong? What if some other religion is right & you’ll be the one burning in hell, or thrown into some eternal torment? Perhaps nothing happens at all when you’re dead & you’ve wasted your life. Whatever the case, believe what you want, but it is not my truth, it is your’s, nothing more so don’t flaunt it in my face. God is Holy and Perfect and He cannot be in the presence of sin. He provided a way back to right relationship with Himself thru His Son - Jesus. God knew what was needed for us to know & love Him, so He took upon human flesh and came to earth in Jesus (God the Son). God therefore provided the only way to eternity with Him. It may be narrow, but that’s God’s way, so it’s the right/only way! He’s a loving God because He sent His Son to take all our sins upon Himself, so we can be declared forgiven. Whenever God destroys in the Bible, He does so for deep reasons. He destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because everyone, except Lot & his family, were living in unrepentant sin. If people choose to sin and don’t care to change or feel their sins are fine/not sins/etc then God will not force them to come to Him. We must realize that God loves us and we should love Him back in response to His everlasting love. Everyone has a “God-shaped” hole in their lives and they try to fill it with entertainment/the occult/music/material possessions/human relationships/religion/etc. These things will never totally fulfill us. You see it’s about having a personal relationship with God, not trying to be religious. God is waiting patiently for those to turn to Him and seek to have a right relationship with Him thru the Son, but many are rebellious and reject Him. Only thru Jesus can we have real fulfillment and eternal life.

Just as I expected to hear. Your preachers tell you to pray to your “good lord” & he will provide. There were people on a desert & had not eaten anything but manna. They preyed for some meat, which sound reasonable, right? The issue here is that the cries of his people annoyed him so much that, he sent quails down for them to eat but, he killed them before they could get a single bite in their mouths (Numbers 11:18-31) Does that sound like a deep reason to destroy to you? “…Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.” -1Ch 13:9-10 He was just trying to prevent the thing from falling. Imagine what God would of done if he had let it fall. Does this sound just to you? How bout when he sends two bears to kill 42 children. yes, they were making fun of a bald guy, but to viciously murder children? A little over kill wouldn’t you think? 70,000 What about when innocent followers of King David were murdered for simply following their king 2 Samuel 24:1, hardly “just” if you ask me!

God truly did create everything in our universe. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. Notice that the context of the verse is dealing with who God is, that it is God who speaks of natural phenomena (sun, light, dark), and it is God who is able to cause “well-being” as well as “calamity.” Contextually, this verse is dealing with natural disasters, and human comfort issues. It is not speaking of moral evil; rather, it is dealing with calamity, distress, etc. This is consistent with other scriptures. For example,

• “And the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?” (Exodus 4:11).
• “Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?” (Amos 3:6).

Therefore, God does not create evil in the moral sense, but in the sense of disaster, of calamity.

God created Satan, did he not? God also has to give Satan permission to “test” a person. Not to mention Gnostic Jews & Christians did not believe in the devil, everything was of God. Good, evil, fortune & misfortune. Everything was of God’s doing.

I DID read the bible, that’s WHY I DON’T believe in it. Do you not see the ,malicious chaos that goes on in it? Rape, murder, child slaughter, cannibalism, all that good stuff. Why do you believe in the bible?

I believe in the Bible because it’s not just one book but 66 books written by 40 different authors on three different continents (Africa, Asia & Europe) over a time period of 1,500 years. The first book of the Bible was written over 3,500 years ago. Each author had very different personalities and backgrounds. Even though these books were written separately the have one main message which is the dealings of God with mankind through His Son Jesus Christ. It would be hard to get five different people to agree exactly on one thing, but the Bible does so and that over a longtime. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek. The Bible answered my most burning questions of life such as the origin of humans and the universe/the existence & nature of God/the purpose of humankind/the origin & extent of evil.

Many peoples lives have been changed as mine has too from searching the Bible. The main theme of the Bible is Jesus with the Old Testament being the preparation of the promised Messiah - Jesus. The Gospels (Matthew/Mark/Luke/John) display the manifestation of the predicted Messiah - Jesus. The book of Acts shows Jesus message being spread throughout the world and Revelation being the consummation of all things as we know it to be. Revelation records Christ coming back to rule and reign.

The Bible also has numerous prophecies that were foretold and came true to the letter. You say they were written after the fact, but the historical evidence in archeology tell otherwise. Add the fact of numerous changed lives (people getting delivered from drug/alcohol/porn addiction/delivery from the bondage of the occult in all its forms. Add to that the total forgiveness of our sins from God who made and knows that we are unable to forgive/remove sin ourselves. The history & geography of the Bible are accurate too. With all the evidence listed above it proves the Bible to be truly divine.

Here’s why…say you were in a burning house and you were sleeping as the fire burned it’s way throughout your home, how would it be if I saw the fire and didn’t call the fire department and/or go in to pull you out from your impending death. Would that be right? I gather not. Since the evidences for the Bible being as strong/compelling as they to reject it would be to turn a blind eye away from the truth.

I have questioned the Bible. In fact, I still do from time to time. When I have a question about it, I will first read the verses in their context which means reading the entire chapter were the verses are to get a better understanding. Then I will check the verses out in a Bible dictionary and Haley’s Bible Handbook. I will also see what Bible scholars say about the verses online and I will even check sources that may disagree with the Bible. In all honesty, the biblical interpretation has prevailed every time. One word of clarification: the Bible is spiritually discerned so you really have to ask God to illuminate His Word by giving you His Holy Spirit so you can understand it.

God is Holy and Perfect and He cannot be in the presence of sin. He provided a way back to right relationship with Himself thru His Son - Jesus. God knew what was needed for us to know & love Him, so He took upon human flesh and came to earth in Jesus (God the Son). God therefore provided the only way to eternity with Him. It may be narrow, but that’s God’s way, so it’s the right/only way! He’s a loving God because He sent His Son to take all our sins upon Himself, so we can be declared forgiven. Whenever God destroys in the Bible, He does so for deep reasons. He destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah because everyone, except Lot & his family, were living in unrepentant sin. If people choose to sin and don’t care to change or feel their sins are fine/not sins/etc then God will not force them to come to Him. We must realize that God loves us and we should love Him back in response to His everlasting love. Everyone has a “God-shaped” hole in their lives and they try to fill it with entertainment/the occult/music/material possessions/human relationships/religion/etc. These things will never totally fulfill us. You see it’s about having a personal relationship with God, not trying to be religious. God is waiting patiently for those to turn to Him and seek to have a right relationship with Him thru the Son, but many are rebellious and reject Him. Only thru Jesus can we have real fulfillment and eternal life.

God truly did create everything in our universe. God brings judgment on those who continue to rebel against Him. Notice that the context of the verse is dealing with who God is, that it is God who speaks of natural phenomena (sun, light, dark), and it is God who is able to cause “well-being” as well as “calamity.” Contextually, this verse is dealing with natural disasters, and human comfort issues. It is not speaking of moral evil; rather, it is dealing with calamity, distress, etc. This is consistent with other scriptures. For example,

* "And the Lord said to him, "Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?" (Exodus 4:11).
* "Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?" (Amos 3:6).

Therefore, God does not create evil in the moral sense, but in the sense of disaster, of calamity.

OK first off jews don’t believe that jesus was the meshiach and they get told that they are going to go to hell for that! If that is what your god initiated then I really don’t want to meet him! If not, then you CHRISTIANS are just as guilty as the rest of us. Did you know that more zealous christians commit crimes than wiccans? And infoholic, nothing is everlasting.

Wicca is witchcraft, the bible strictly says that that stuff is bad and that you should not do it. But in other religions, such as Buddhism and athiesm. (How ever you spell it) they worship false idols and false gods. The bible says to worship God and no one else. Buddha was a real person, but he was not meant to be worshiped on. There is only one way to get to heaven and that is asking God to forgive you for your sins and believing that is the one true God and there is no other God. He wants us to worship him and live life. He created us so we should listen to him!
