Why would he do this?

So there’s this guy that I went out with over the summer. he told me things like “you’re beautiful” “I love you, I always will, forever… I promise”. I never believed him, and finally he convinced me he was the one. I soon fell in love with him. Then, on the 2nd day of school, he broke up with me. I asked him why, and he made something up like “I hate your friends, and you hate mine” (I don’t hate his friends). After 3 days of breaking up he had another girlfriend. They broke up after 2 months or so, and I’m still in love with him. What should I do? And why would he promise me things that weren’t true? I trusted him, and he lied to me.

This guy sounds like a bit of a womanizer if you ask me. Lots of guys promise things that they don’t mean.. It’s just the way they are and sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture. Would he really know what love is? Would he really start going out with another girl if he loved you? Are you even sure what love is? I’m not saying you don’t love him because you might. But if he lied to you many times and finished the relationship (for a silly reason) then I really think you should leave him behind and move on. I know it’s easier said than done but trust me, it’s for the best. You’ll soon meet another boy that won’t lie to you and when he says that he loves you, he will actually mean it. We all go through boy’s while were at school and they come and go. I’m sure you’ll be over the whole thing soon! Good luck!
