Why would a guy who loves you not want to tell you anymore?

First of all I’m sixteen and have been dating this guy (hes sixteen too) for a little over a year and he’s already dumped me twice before and now its happening for a third time. He has been telling me all this stuff about how he loves me more than anything and I’m the most important thing to him and just things like that and now he is saying he would rather not say those things. He says he doesn’t know if he wants to be with me or not. This is the same stuff he said the time before and I feel like he’s a totally different person when he tells me these things. I just don’t understand how in a matter of a few days a person can go from loving someone with all their heart to not knowing if they still want to be with that someone. Advice?

It sounds to me like he’s talking through his arse. Why can’t he just say something and stick with it? If he keeps saying those kinds of things and making you confused, get over him and move on.

“Love” is a strong word. I’ve found myself diving headfirst into relationship saying that, before. I also found myself reconsidering, later in the relationship. Your boyfriend may have matured and realized that “Love” is deeper than water. I think he really does care about you, and just wants to be honest. I’d keep hanging out with him, and talk about things. If you guys don’t work out as a couple, I wouldn’t hold it against him.

boys are like girls without the periods.. they have they’re mood swings, they’re poor choice in decisions.. he’s still developing most likely, and hasnt discovered what he wants yet, I hate to say it, but he’s not sure if your exactly what he’s looking for, im sure you’ve heard this at least once in your life, if he doesnt love you for you, he’s not worth you time and patience..
