WHy is my mom such a jerk?

I need help. My mom is always such a jerk! I know it’s probably because my grandpa died in November of 2008. But she’s sooo mean to everyone! She doesn’t realize that it happened to me and my little siblings too. Here’s an example: I have a lot of chores. I always get my chores done and I get good grades (I have straight “A’s”) I’m not moody or full of attitude…I’m not what most grown-ups think of in a teen. I’ve tried everything to make my mom happy. When I do something she just gets more angry with me. EXAMPLE: I got up an hour early one time and did all of my chores and then did all of her morning chores, when she got up all she did was yell at me for not doing it right, and making more work for her and stuff. Please help me!

thanks hysterical, that was basically what I needed 2 hear. basically the hardest part is that it was my grandpa and he was a musician and so am I and so it was really hard but I’m working to hard to hold up my family (I’m the oldest of six) that I have no time to “mourn” and I’ll just break down randomly when I’m out wit frends or in front of a guy I like or wutever and its real embarrasing. so ya thanks

Sounds like the death did hit her pretty hard, a lot harder than you can imagine.

The thing is though, your looking for her to appreciate the things you do at the wrong time. Why not instead of looking for her to appreciate them you get her to cool off. Telling her that you love her not matter how *chy she can act will surely bring her mood up. Right now try your best to give without receiving anything in return, she needs it no matter how inconsiderate she maybe, one day I promise you it will all hit her :D
