Why is it wrong for male best friends to show affection?
My best friend and I have been called gay because we show affection towards one another. All we do is hug each other and say I love you. I don’t understand why. To us, I love you, isn’t a “significant other” type of love, it’s just a brotherly and best friend love. I’m tired of being called a fag because of it, and so is he. What should I/we do?
Stop saying I love you in public?? If it bothers you so much. Bro hugs are fine, but like if you’re continuously hugging him, It probably looks gay to other people.
Maybe you are gay? If not then don’t make a big show about how you guys say ‘I love you’ to each other.
If you live in the south I could see why because it seems everyone down here is just really ignorant. I see nothing wrong with a bro hug. I mean if you’re not kissing one another then there’s nothing “gay” about the way you act. Not that there’s anything with being gay.
people these days have nothing better to do the same problem with me. I honestly don’t see anything wrong with it…if I were you just don’t do it so much while your around big groups of people, me and my friends just go with it half the time and so far it’s worked not that many people have been saying anything to us. I guess it doesn’t help that I have a lot of bi/gay friends either or the fact I’ve dated 2 bi guys and they are the ones who ended up together in the end(<—I swear im cursed lol)
