Why is it wrong to want to go out with him?

Im in yr 10 and hes in yr 9. We used to be in the same class last yr(because last yr,yr 9’s and 8’s had to be in the same classes) but we only just started talk this year. First we just smiled at each other then we started flirting and I herd him telling his brother that he likes me. I told my friends and they said that I shouldnt go out with him but I woz really shocked when they said why It wasnt because he smokes and is always in detention and that it woz because hes in yr 9. They said that only slags go out with guys younger than them and that it made me look like I woz really desperate But im not a slag and I really dont see wht wrong with liking him. 1-hes fit 2-he looks older than me(hes my age-just a few months younger) 3-he makes me laff So…sorry for making this really long but does it make me a slag?

No, going out with a boy that’s younger than you does NOT make you a slag or make you look desperate. It’s perfectly okay, in my opinion. My partner is about 2 years younger than I am and we have a really good relationship. So, don’t listen to them. Do what makes you happy in that sense.

When it comes to the rest, which I think needs to be addressed, I think that considering who he is and what he does is important before going out with him (being in trouble a lot, for the most part). It’s not good to be in the middle of that kind of thing. If you decide to be with him, though, just be sure that you don’t get caught up in any of the trouble.

If its a few months seperation than its not a big deal. But I will say that being in a seperate grades in school does somehow make a big difference. Also, boys your age are wayyy less mature than girls. And the fact is, he seems like kind of a loser. I mean, do you really want to go out with the idiot always in detention??
