Why is it so hard to change?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over 2 months now but we’ve know each other for 2 years. There is a lot of things he dislikes about me and I’m trying so hard to change but for some reason I just don’t know how. I know what he doesn’t like about me and he doesn’t want me to change because he knows I won’t change, but I really want to prove him wrong. Its kind of hard to change for me because I’ve been dealing with Depression for over 7 years so instead of trying to change I just put myself down and just think all negative about our relationship like Im going to lose him and he always tells me I ain’t and I also think negative toward myself. Please someone tell me what to do because I love him to death and I can’t see myself with out him by my side!!!

okay I’ve totallly been there!!!you need to stoppp putting yourself down.. guys dont mind insecure girls, but they dont like girls that keeep putting themselves down and cant take compliments…he probably wants to have more fun with you, but you’re insecurities are preventing you from having fun. what else does he says he dislikes about you?

what me and my boyfriend did to get over our problems is we made it into a game…like “okay every time you insult yourself, you lose a point” or “everytime you start an argument, you lose the game” and if both partners are willing to actually play, it helps a lot. it saved my relationship…we would argue constantly until we play that game…and we eventually got used to NOT arguing, because it ffeeels so much better. and we got to focus on having fun together.

us men should love our girls flaws just as much as we love there perks, if he wants you to change, he is not worth it. unless it is something that they want you to change because they care about you, like stoping drugs, beer. stuff like that

Sweetie NEVER change for a guy they are not worth it there only in your life for awhile and then they leave you with a broken heart so don’t change if he loves you he’ll accept you for you if not then the right guy will see you in his eyes as the perfect girl

first of all you must know that your deep infactuation with this guy is because of the lack of love you know you should recieve from your parants. parants are to be a security blanket and the source of love, compassion, forgiveness, and unconditional attentiveness. if you’ve lacked any of these things , most of your problems stem from this very fact. I want leave you with a thought “ everyone seeks something they don’t have!!! you seek love(desperatly) yet your putting it in all the wrong things. YOU SEEK LOVE OF SELF!!! who do you know loves you enough to die for you? or who do you know loves you enough that has died for you? find that one person, only they can give you what you seek…and more!!!
