Why have I not got my period yet?

Ok so I have been on BC for a year and decided to stop taking them because I don’t think its healthy. A week after I stopped taking them I got my period and I was surprised because I had gotten it 2 weeks prior so I thought maybe it wasnt my period and maybe it was from me stopping BC. I usually get my period arounf the 20th and no later than the 1st. Today is the 3rd and no period. Me and my boyfriend always have sex and havne’t used any protection. I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative.. what do you think?? pregnant ?? or not pregnant??

Your period may be off due to your hormones readjusting themselves after stopping BC. It is also possible that you may be pregnant as you do not take any precautions. If you are truly concerned about your status, I suggest that you retake the test in about 3-7 days (if you are pregnant, this will allow your hCG level time to increase). If you feel that you cannot wait that long you should go to your doctor and ask for a blood test (this is also a more accurate test).
