What is it about naturally curly hair that men don't like? All I know is that men like straight hair because they can put their hands through it but what else? A lot of women love my curly hair but men just don't - my ex boyfriend hated it and my current boyfriend once admitted that he doesn't like curly hair.
um... I don't planet you live on... but here on planet earth the "MEN" LOVE IT... I have naturally curly hair, and I love it too.. I do straighten it once in a while, probably twice a month. But It isn't as simple as it sounds (not if you're picky like me anyway) it actually takes A LOT of patience and practice before you master the art of flat ironing your hair. because no matter how straight you get it... You can tell the diff between yours and a natural head of strait hair. it helps if you know someone who has been doing it for a while to give you advice.. or you can hit me up because I've got plenty! But my best advice to you is LEARN TO LOVE THE BEAUTIFUL HEAD OF CURLS YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH!! (and do this BEFORE you flat iron.. ) I'm shocked that there's not a bunch of angry posts before mine... P.S.~ oh yeah when you buy a flat iron make sure it's a Quality one! you need one with adjustable heat and also a comb attached I heard is nice too.. when it comes to these tools quality makes all the difference in the world!! well.. I have straight hair.. I suuuper want a perm.. I guess its true what they say.. never happy with what you have.. in my case anywayz lol.. but like my bestie has like red curly hair and its cute... and I love curling my hair.. but it takes FOREVER.. im just scared that if I got a perm it would *** up my hair and it would be dead and not very good looking.. but I think im gunna give'er a try :).. and its true what most people are saying.. lotsa guys like straight hair.. lots like curls... but most guys like when girls look natural.
I have really curly hair, growing up I hated it and wished for straight hair like all my friends. But over the years, I've come to appreciate them because it's a part of me and it's what makes me unique. My friends love my hair, my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years does as well, and I was recently voted best hair for my senior class! My point is you should take pride in your individuality, and people will see your confidence and will like you for who you are, hair is just hair and no one or no thing should make you feel ashamed of your curls =)
I'm a guy and my comments might surprise some of you. Back when I was a teen, I thought that girls with straight hair were pretty. I liked it because it looked tidy, neat and shiny.
Soon after a few years in college, I got to know a few friends who had really nice curls. I started appreciating them more than straight hairs because of their unique style. I noticed that what makes a girl's curl look great is when it shined and looked neat. Currently, straightened hair bore me at times as it lacked unique style.
hmmm. I really don't know. I guess it's what they show on T.V. and other things these days. Men are just so more attracted to straight hair because they see so many stars and publicity things these days. In the olden days, women were beautiful with curly hair, and men loved it. Times are changing. Why don't you try straightening your hair. I don't want you to go changing yourself for some man, but you should just give it a try unpermanently with a hair straightener.
depends on the guy, I have curly hair too and believe me people love it, I personally dont like ti that much I prefer if it was straight but many have told me that my hair is so beautiful and that they prefer it to straight hair, once I went to say hi to my friend, and her friend(which is a guy that was standing with her) told asked me if I knew that my hair was AMAZING,,, I think since then I started liked it a little...so dont worry abt it
hmm you know what, I used to think the same way (I have curly hair too). But I guess it all depends, maybe you know guys who just like straight hair better? Every guy is different and you can't say all guys hate curly hair because I'm sure they don't. Maybe you're just frustrated but trust me curly hair is beautiful and just be happy that you're unique and beautiful :)
I have very curly hair. Although I love it straight, I get lots of compliments when it's curly. I believe as long as you have healthy, shiny hair it doesn't really matter whether it's straight or curly. Just be yourself and own what you have. Have love and take pride in your curls. And you'll find a guy that loves them too.
Then you just havent found the "right" guy. My cousin has BEAUTIFUL curly hair, and ALL of her boyfriends loved it. We all love it.
Like everyone has said before, it really depends on the guy... Dont judge all guys based on a couple of experiences...
My son, 6'4", blonde, blue eyes, handsome, good job, smart...LOVES naturally curly haired girls.
