why does my skin itch so much?

I feel like im constantly scratching myself and my mom said it bothers her… its my skin it bother me..the most do I have sensitive skin?I go crazy sometimes…explain this please!!!

You might be allergic to the laundry detergent or fabric softener you are using. The chemicals stay in the clothes and irritate your skin. Are you taking any medications? It could be a side effect. Codeine for example is one of the medicines that will cause intense generalized itching. Just take a good inventory of all the chemicals that you interact with on a daily basis. Use trial and error to isolate the cause. I bet its your laundry soap though. Try switching brands.

iyt could also be becdause its winter, I get itchy in the winter because my skin gets really dry from the heater, and the season. if that were the case just use more lotion.

try not to take to hot of showers. Really hot showers dry out your skin.use lots of loiton. it could also be your detergent and it being winter your skin gets really dry. buy some loiton that is intense moisturizing

I get the same problem but worked out it was because of certain foods. If I eat cheese, for the rest of the day and night I will just about scratch holes in my arms because of the intense itching. Other food can set this off as well. Watch your diet and see if any it happens after eating a particular food .
