Why does my boyfriend say mean things to me?

Why does my boyfriend put me down and say things on purpose to hurt me and our relationship?

because he’s insecure about himself. He brings others down to build him up.

The question is, is why are you with him (and if you say love, then let me ask you does love do that)

maybe you should just ask him wots up, my boyfriend did the same turns out he was having problems at home hope it helped xx

Its either one of two things. One, he doesn’t really like you and is hoping you break up with him so he doesnt have to do the dirty work. Or two, he is insecure and jealous of you. If he ignores your calls or frequently cancels plans/ avoids you, its probably option one. If he seems to still really like you and want to be around you, its probably 2. You could always try to one day or maybe even for a week, complementing him a lot and kill with kindness and see how he responds.
