I was just wondering why we dream When we sleep. I think its real werid how real it all Feels sometimes. Haha! (:
well we do not dream in a sense. the things you "dream about before you go to bed are parts of your history whether it be a movie or what happened that day. and the thing you "dream" about before you wake up is a fantasy where either you are the main character and the hero in a sense and something good is happening or something bad is happening. Nightmares are when you have a "dream" that has you the main character get hurt or something bad happen and you are dreaming about yourself and you know what kind of pain you have experienced so your body can re instill that pain in serious cases as in "dreaming"
Dreams are a form of recreational memory. Your brain, in REM sleep releases a lot of activity in the form of messages in primitive areas. The messages that are released generally flow anywhere without purpose. What your brain does is try to make sense out of nonsense. That is essentially what causes you to have dreams that seem to be so far stretched from reality. It's a guess, but this guess provides a lot of logic to me.
