Why do I need to give my school a medical excuse?

Well I’m out of school right now because I had a baby. I am supposed to go back to school this coming up monday but my doctor gave me a note saying not to return until the 18th. I have a medical excuse but I want that to remain confidential between my doctor and myself. But since I wont tell the school why I’m being excused they said my absenses until I return will be illegal absenses. Can they do that? I want my information to remain between only me and my doctor. its personal. arent there laws about that? that a school cant say I’m absent when I have an excuse? I have the dr note and everything, I just want my information to remain confidential and my school is trying to force me to tell them.

Hehe, you concern so much about your privacy but you’re all too willing to spread your legs and give up your privacy… The fact that over 9 months you got fatter and fatter, then went off for a bit, and will then be coming back a lot thinner will be a giveaway, just give them the note and grow up, you’re a mother now, so you’ve got to stop acting like a kid.

Only option is to get a note from doctor just stating you are off until 1/18 due to medical reasons.

The school does not need to know why and can not inquire why due to privacy acts.

They don’t know that you really have an excuse if you do not show them the doctors note. Ask your doctor to write one without the reason and tell him/her that the reason is personal so you would like it to not be on the excuse.

You may be able to get you doctor to write an excuse without putting a reason. It worked when I was in high school and college. They just checked a box saying “illness” and filled out a return date. Did the administrators at your school not know you were pregnant? How were you able to hide it?
