Why do I keep getting viral infections?

Basically 10X or MORE a year.. I get viral infections.. everytime I go out in the cold.. or the wind hits my neck..or even freezing cold water on my throat.. I get ill.. my uvula swells up so big I feel it on the back of my tongue.. my glands swell up…wheather or not this be tonsilitus but I been to the doctors..and antibiotics doesnt do any justice.. this week it cleared up..and as we’ve had snow this weekend..it came straight back..and to top it off im on my PMT.. so im sick as a dog at the moment. the doctor suggested a throat swab.. to see if its just bacteria behind the uvula..but all he can provide is antibiotics?.. I’ve gargled salt water and all it does nothing.!

Well if its virus’s your getting the whole time anti biotics won’t help, you’ll just have to let them run their course. An infection is a different thing. Are you working around the public? Usually with me anyway its something simple that makes me get a cold or flu. My hair is very thick, if it gets even damp I get a cold, if my lower back is in anyway exposed even an inch of skin, I get a cold. Try and find out what your trigger is and learn to avoid it. Maybe try taking garlic and Vit C tablets, or even when you feel a cold virus or flu coming on over dose on echanacia (thats not spelt right but you get the idea ) good luck
