Why do I have the worst luck?

I’m 19. I consider myself good looking. I’ve had one girlfriend, which was a 15 month relationship that went sour. I have been talking with one girl that is a freshman at my college this year. We’ve been talking all summer pretty much and we both wanted to hang out when we got to college. Well, two weeks ago, she started dating a senior in high school, a guy that went to her high school. I’ve called her a couple times, and still have talked to her and she still seemed interested. Last time I talked to her, two days ago, she said she had a lot of stuff planned to hang with her boyfriend. I am bummed about this cause I had gotten my hopes up that she would actually hang out with me, but even though she’s not, she says she’s really sorry she’s not hanging out. With her having a boyfriend, I’m not trying to steal her from him, but be a friend at the college. I don’t know what to do.

either way you sound like a really nice guy and good friend. I would be a good friend to her and if things don’t work out with boyf you will be there for her! but don’t put all your egs in the one basket - keep socialising and make friends with lots of girls if you can so that you don’t obsess about that girl - that is what I sometimes do and it only ends in tears. tell her that you thought she was a downass chick and you were hoping to become friends since you don’t know anyone and you thouht that the two of you got together. and say just that, “With (you) having a boyfriend, I’m not trying to steal (you) from your him, but be a friend at the college” it’s not a big deal and unless her boyfriend is a jelous freak it should be fine. good luck, kiddo! hope all goes well

umm that hard, mostly whenever a girl brings up a boyfreind on the phone its a way to get out of somthing.their was this guy who use to phone and we were friends but I didnt like him that way so whenever he wanted to go on dates I would give him subtile hints to tell him how I felt. I hope its not like this but it could be although you are good looking :)
