Ok im a girl, but every one that I ask says they usualy take like 30-40 min. Shower Why do they take such long showers I mean I only take like a 5 min. Shower.

I don’t know…

I take about 15-20 minutes in the shower. If I could go faster, I would. I simply do all I need to do in the shower and then get out–I don’t really waste time, lol.

I do the CG (Curly Girl) method, which means I clean with conditioner instead of shampoo (I also avoid silicones in products, but that’s another story). I have curly hair and love it to death!

So, I get in the shower and fully wet my hair. Then I get a quarter-sized puddle of light conditioner (Suave, V05, ect), and gently massage my scalp for thirty seconds under running water. I do the same with 2 more puddles, making sure I cleanse well. Then, with the same light conditioner (which I use as shampoo), I detangle and gentle comb through with a wide-toothed comb.

Then I grab my moisturizing condish (Generic Value Products Conditioning Balm–generic to Biolage Conditioning Balm, same ingredients, you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply). I apply a generous amount and comb it through, and leave it in my hair for a few minutes, while I do my other shower stuff. Then I rinse with cold water (to seal the hair shaft) and that’s it.

The good thing about leaving the conditioner in while I do my other stuff is that the conditioner works better, and I shave if I need to or cleanse my face if I need to.

Takes about 15-20 minutes total.

I love showers and sometimes I just stand there under the hot water doing nothing… just enjoying the sensation. And THEN begins all the other stuff… lol.

Guilty as charged!

Answer #3

do the people that you ask have long hair?? if they do that’s probably why but other reasons are maybe they shave in the shower- that’s what a couple of my friends do- or they like the warm water and it’s calming. one of my friends, she’s mixed but her hair is mostly black and it’s the curliest/thickest hair. she said that it takes about 5 minutes for the water to soak up in her hair and then about 10-15 minutes to put in and wash out the shampoo/ conditioner. I only take about 5-10 minutes ‘cause it doesnt take me that long either but then again something is wrong with our septic tank.
