Why did your parents decided to give you the name you have?

My name means compassion or compassionate. My mother named me after her college roommate and long time best friend/co-worker. my father chose my middle name, Grace, hoping that I would be the dancer of the family and be graceful. You see, in every generation in my family at least 2 of us are dancers. And guess what? I’ve been dancing for 8 1/2 years.

My mom wanted me to be named Victoria. My dad wanted me named Bailey (…my grandma wanted me to be named after the dog=/) So since they couldnt come to terms they picked a name (Katelyn) neither of them liked and then put my middle name (Patricia) because theres always 1 Patricia in each generation of our family, and I’m that one, haha.

I think “Katelyn Patricia” has a nice ring to it, although the name Patricia makes me feel old xD

my father named me sade after the singer …I kinda like it

im the 1st of 3 brothers and my mom named me Matthew. Matthew means ‘gift of god’

also because Matthew can be shortaned to Matt, Matty, Maff, Mat, Matto etc etc

its my fathers mothers name and she had died when my father was very young my middle name is just a name that my mother always liked.

hmm im not sure? My mum liked the name hannah. she was gonna call me rebecca but changed her mind last minute. Hannah is a religious name as well. maybe thats why she changed it.

my name is czarina. My dad named me after an establishment in my place (which is named after the owner). It is translated as empress of Russia (im not russian though, im filipino). So yeah.

My name is Jamaica because on the year 1993 miss Jamaica won the beauty patent for miss universe.

My mother and grandmother wanted to name me Lorenza cuz that was my great grandmother’s name. I’m happy they didn’t cuz i dont like the name. My dad said ‘how about we name her Loraine?’ they said ‘why not?’ and named me Loraine. Middle name:Reyes. I have a very unique name. My name Loraine is a variant of Lorraine and is french and german…my middle name Reyes is Hispanic. And my last name is Aceto which is italian. italians will laugh at the last name. :P lol. It means vinegar in italian.
