lol, this is what we’re learning right now too… Mostly slave owners did because that’s where it was legal. There was a line that separated the North from the south due to the fact that the North went against it, which is why the civil war happened..

There was lots of farming ground. They moved there to become plantation owners and used slaves for free labor to get rich.
